E834 - POST TRIP MALTA OPTION DAY 8 ✈ CATANIA - MALTA. Guests continuing with the post-trip extension are transferred to the airport to board their included short flight to Malta. On arrival you are met and taken to your hotel to meet your Local Host for Morning Tea. e rest of the day is at leisure to relax and settle into your hotel. (BB) (MT) Le Meridien St. Julians. | Traditional | ∂ DAY 9 · REL A XED START FREE TIME IN MALTA. Today is free to laze by the pool or stroll by Spinola Bay. Perhaps, take a short journey to the capital, Valletta, to spend time browsing the shops or enjoy one of the many other cultural attractions in the area. (BB) DAY 10 · REL A XED START SOUTHERN DELIGHTS. Venture south to visit the pretty fishing village of Marsaxlokk and wander along its waterfront lined with Luzzus - traditional fishing boats painted in reds, blues and yellows. ere is time to browse the local market stalls and perhaps take an Optional Excursion to visit the Blue Grotto, surrounded by turquoise water. Return to your hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure. (BB) DAY 11 ✈ DEPART MALTA. Bid farewell to this exotic island as you travel to Malta airport for your onward journey. (BB) DAY 5 · REL A XED START EXPLORING ERICE. Venture to the charming hilltop walled town of Erice to walk the labyrinth of quiet alleyways and enjoy sea views from the gardens next to the Castle of Venus. ℓ At a farm near Trapani, sample some of the island's freshest olive oil and savour a tasting of Sicilian wine, followed by a light lunch of delicious local produce. Back in Palermo the evening is at your leisure. (BB) (LW) DAY 6 CEFALU AND THE TAORMINA RIVIERA. Travel to the quaint fishing town of Cefalu. See the imposing cathedral, stroll to the stone fountain and seek out the Gothic arch of the Porta Marina for a picture-perfect view of the harbour. Maybe try the restaurants by the beach, before continuing on to the Taormina Riviera? (BB) Hilton Giardini Naxos, Taormina Riviera. | Contemporary DAY 7 · REL A XED START TAORMINA AND THE DAWN COAST OF EUROPE. Early risers may experience why D.H. Lawrence christened this 'e Dawn Coast of Europe.' Perhaps take an Optional Experience to Mount Etna and Savoca? Visit the old town, clinging to the side of Mount Tauro with sea and mountain views. With your Local Expert, visit the Greek theatre and absorb the view.
